Musical Direction
Ben has been involved in musical theatre and theatre since high-school, writing some music for his school’s Year 10 drama production Herman the Merman. In 2001 he was accepted into the Shakespeare Globe Corporation Australia’s youth festivals and wrote music for their piece Cry Havoc, and was in later asked back as Musical Director for consecutive years. After being introduced to musical theatre in his first year at The University of Melbourne Ben took part in many productions as Musical Director or Assistant Director and also helped out as a Musical Supervisor on other projects.
